Who shapes our personalities? Our ancestors, our genetic blueprints, or the environment we grow up in? This question is multifaceted and tough, but I am certain of one thing: my parents have been the sculptors of my core values and beliefs. They laid the groundwork for my perspective on life. Built upon this groundwork, my experiences in the various places I’ve called home have shaped my view of the world and informed my decisions. Studying in Austria, pursuing my master’s degree in the UK, and seizing career opportunities in Switzerland—each location has left an indelible mark on me and will always hold a special place in my heart.
My mother’s journey was similar. When she was coming of age, she spent a year in England and has since maintained a deep affinity for that distinctive island. Cornwall, in particular, holds a dear spot in her heart, and I consider myself fortunate to have experienced its charm through her perspective. Here’s a what we discovered on our latest visit.
