Chantal Convertini is a photographer and artist from Switzerland whose work I truly admire. Her unwavering commitment to film photography and her exceptional ability to capture human bodies encourage those around her. She has redefined self-portraiture for a generation and her collected works are a must-see for enthusiasts and professionals alike.

I’ve been fortunate to learn directly from Chanti during multiple workshops in Italy and Spain. One memorable set was taken on a sun-drenched rooftop, with Chanti, Emma, and Nicette as subjects. Yet, through the lens and under Chanti’s influence, the bright day mimicked a constructed nocturnal atmosphere—her skill in transforming the mundane into the magnificent is nothing short of inspiring.
